  Join the Bird Walk and find out about that bird and dozens of others

  for a docent-led two-hour walk thru the bosque, 

  identifying the birds we meet along the way.

  Binoculars available for rent - no charge to borrow the binoculars.

  Whether you’ve done it before or want to give it a try, here’s an opportunity to take a swing. We’ll have 2 lanes reserved for a 1-hour session at ABQ Ax (5505 Osuna Road NE Suite J, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87107). Staff provides a brief training for beginners and goes over safety and will offer pointers during the session as requested. Can order food (hot wings, pizza, sliders, bowls and sweets) and drinks and there’s a seating area where we can sit and chat afterwards.

   Aug. 23 - Master Gardener’s Tomato Fiesta at the Albuquerque Garden Center, 10120 Lomas NE, Albuquerque. 11:00 - 3:00. Admission is $5.00. Sample tastings of a variety of tomatoes and dishes from the Master Gardener’s cook book. There will also be educational seminars, a Master Gardener Cafe featuring their signature BLT sandwiches and tomato inspired treats, live music, fresh produce for sale and more. We will meet at the garden center.  Karen suggests getting there earlier than 11:00 for a better chance of getting better parking.
